Structural Design Lead

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Lead the design team in developing innovative solutions for aircraft structures using Catia V5 software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with Airbus standards and regulations.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, drawings, and reports.
• Provide guidance on structural design principles, best practices, and industry trends to junior engineers.

Job Requirements :

• 12-20 years of experience in aerospace engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Catia V5 software for structural design.
• Strong understanding of airbus standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100).
• Experience working on large-scale projects involving complex systems integration.

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities

• Knowledge of sheet metal design principles, manufacturing processes, forming techniques, and assembly methods.
• Knowledge of tolerancing, HnF, design principles, RSDP, and Aircraft Modeling Rules.
• Knowledge of structural aeronautical design constraints.
• Knowledge of commercial aircraft fuselage structures and sheet metal airframe components, including design and integration requirements.
• Knowledge of aeronautical materials (metallic and composite) and their application in aircraft structural and sheet metal design.
