Structural Revit Drafter / Modeller (Intermediate to Senior)

ACH Consulting Engineers is looking for an experienced Structural Revit Drafter/Modeller to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a great opportunity for a meticulous drafter who takes real pride in a clean, correct, well-coordinated set, working on a varied workload of residential, commercial, and industrial projects alongside a supportive team of engineers and drafters.

About the role

Working closely with our structural engineers, you'll be responsible for producing accurate, well-coordinated structural drawings and models from concept through to construction documentation. You'll own your drawing sets end to end, set the standard for how they're checked and issued, contribute ideas on detailing and documentation efficiency, and mentor junior drafters. It's the kind of role where being thorough and being easy to work with both genuinely count. Some projects move quickly, so you'll need to judge when to raise a concern and when to push on.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you will produce structural drawings and 3D models in Revit and AutoCAD across a range of project types and sizes; interpret engineers' sketches, calculations, and instructions to develop clear, constructible details; coordinate structural models with architectural and services documentation to resolve clashes and design issues; manage drawing sets through multiple revisions, ensuring version control and quality standards are maintained; and liaise directly with engineers, architects, and at times clients and contractors, asking the right questions early and keeping everyone clear on where the documentation stands.

What we're looking for

We'd love to hear from you if you bring:

·         Several years' hands-on experience producing structural drawings in Revit, ideally in a New Zealand consulting engineering environment.

·         A solid grasp of structural detailing practices and construction methods.

·         An exacting eye for detail. You notice the stale revision, and the detail that won't build.

·         The discipline to manage your own workload and priorities without being chased.

·         Clear, considered communication with engineers, architects, and contractors alike.

·         A warm, proactive approach. People enjoy working with you.
