What they need

Innovation dies when it’s trapped in a spreadsheet. Calcs.com frees engineers to spend more time thinking and less time doing. Our cloud structural design calculators already power 50,000+ projects a year around the world, and we’re only getting started.

If you're a structural engineer who is passionate about solving real-world problems, creating tools that engineers love, and shaping the future of engineering design, we want you on our team.

Your Impact

  • Ship calculators fast
    • foundations, retaining walls, RC/steel/timber, all via our no-code calculator builder.
  • Empower others
    • translate complex standards into intuitive, best-practice calculators.
  • Amplify impact
    • ship tools used by thousands, iterating from direct customer feedback.
  • Own QA
    • write tests, review calc outputs, and hunt edge cases to guarantee trust
  • Take radical ownership
    • act as product/tech lead, partnering with product, dev and customer success to sharpen every launch.
  • Find a better way
    • help create new workflows, tools, and AI helpers that cut design cycles from hours to seconds.

As our footprint grows, this role could expand into leading customer success or regional calculator teams, depending on your ambition and company priorities.

What you’ll bring

We are hiring for a range of roles, with varying years of experience in the following:

  • Structural Engineering Knowledge – Experience working with US engineering codes, standards, and design practices. You know how engineers use software like Calcs.com in their workflow.
  • Excel or Mathcad wizardry; Python/JS curiosity is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills, with strong attention to detail and clarity.
  • Proactive, growth-oriented approach - you take ownership and love continuous learning.
  • Leadership or project management experience is highly valued.

Compensation & perks

  • COP $4,500,000–$6,300,000 gross monthly salary (based on experience) + COP $200,000 monthly connectivity allowance.
  • Yearly Bonus of 5% based on company-wide revenue, paid quarterly.
  • Possible eventual access to equity in a fast-growing, profitable SaaS.
  • Annual Professional & Development budget (for courses, books, certifications, or conferences), and a culture that ships.
  • Full-time, based in Bogotá, Colombia. Our office is a 15-minute walk from the Calle 127 Transmilenio station.
  • We are very flexible for short-term arrangements if you need to be away from Bogotá.
  • Contrato a término indefinido con todas las prestaciones de ley.
