Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating engineering activities, including design, calculations, material preparation, fabrication, and construction supervision.
• Assist in monitoring and inspecting subcontractors' technical work, designs, and methods to ensure quality and compliance.
• Perform structural calculations for temporary works to ensure adherence to relevant codes and regulations.
• Assist in liaising with authorities for project submissions and follow-up actions.
• Provide technical support for structural site works and assist in developing design concepts and detailed plans.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Job requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, preferably from courses listed in the HKIE's List of Accredited Programmes.
• Holder of a professional membership is a definite advantage.
• At least 4 years of experience in structural engineering with main contractors, preferably in private residential construction projects.
• Proficiency in structural/geotechnical analysis software is preferred.
• Well-organized, self-motivated, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
