Structural Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities

1)     Responsible for designing, planning, and supervising construction projects, focusing on structural integrity, safety, and compliance with regulations.

2)     Technical Design & Analysis

• Prepare civil and structural drawings and calculations.
• Analyse structural systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

 3)     Project Management, Planning & Coordination

• Collaborate with architects, contractors, authorities and other engineers.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve design-related queries.

 4)     Site Supervision

• Conduct inspections to monitor construction progress and workmanship.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Oversee safety practices and risk management on-site.

 5)     Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Liaise with clients to understand project requirements.
• Present technical solutions and updates to Client, stakeholders and project team.
• Support tender preparation and documentation.

Qualification & Experiance:

• Min 5 years working experience as Civil Engineering and related experience, under property/ construction and development industry.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent. Professional Engineer (PE) status is an advantage.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Bukit Mertajam and willing to travel.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, English to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of construction standards, codes, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong inter-personal skill in human relation.
• Problem-solving, analytical thinking, teamwork, and effective communication.
