The Opportunity

A leading global engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Structural Engineer to join its Glasgow team.

You'll work alongside experienced engineers and other built-environment professionals, contributing to projects from concept design through to construction.

The Role

• Undertake structural analysis, design and calculations across a variety of building structures projects.
• Develop practical and innovative engineering solutions using appropriate design methods and software.
• Prepare structural reports, technical specifications and design documentation.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, architects and other design professionals.
• Contribute to the delivery of projects from initial concept through to detailed design and construction.
• Coordinate structural designs with wider project teams and other disciplines.
• Ensure designs meet relevant codes, standards and project requirements.
• Support the development of junior engineers and contribute to a positive team environment.

Requirements

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Previous experience in a Structural Engineer role within a consultancy environment.
• Experience undertaking structural design and analysis for building structures.
• Knowledge of relevant design codes and structural engineering principles.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Proficiency in relevant structural design software.
• Working towards Chartered status, or already Chartered, would be advantageous.
