Structural Engineer – Job Description

Experience: Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, preferably within the construction/MEP contracting industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and coordinate structural design drawings, calculations, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
• Review structural details and identify technical issues, discrepancies, and potential clashes before construction.
• Prepare, raise, monitor, and close Structural RFIs (Requests for Information) in coordination with consultants, designers, and project teams.
• Coordinate structural requirements with architectural, MEP, and civil disciplines.
• Supervise and guide the Technical Coordinator and structural drafting team in preparing structural shop drawings and detailed drawings.
• Ensure structural drawings are prepared in accordance with approved design, project specifications, and authority requirements.
• Review submitted drawings and incorporate consultant/engineer comments as required.
• Coordinate with site teams to resolve structural technical issues during construction.
• Monitor drawing submissions, approvals, revisions, and document control.
• Provide technical support to the Project Manager and construction team.
• Ensure all structural works comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and quality requirements.
• Attend technical coordination meetings with consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Support the preparation of method statements, material submittals, and other technical documentation related to structural works.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
