Job Summary

SARAB Engineering Consultancy is looking for an experienced Structural Engineer with 7–10 years of relevant experience in engineering consultancy to join our team in Dubai.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in structural design, analysis, authority approvals, technical documentation, and coordination with architects, MEP consultants, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review structural designs, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Perform structural analysis and design for buildings and other structural elements.
• Review structural drawings and ensure compliance with approved designs and applicable codes.
• Coordinate with architectural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines.
• Prepare structural calculations, design reports, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with relevant Dubai authorities for structural approvals and submissions.
• Review contractor/shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and technical documents.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical solutions for structural issues.
• Monitor structural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Attend technical meetings with clients, contractors, consultants, and authorities when required.
• Assist in resolving RFIs, site technical queries, and design-related issues.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with applicable standards, codes, and authority requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in an engineering consultancy, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design of buildings.
• Experience with Dubai Municipality and other UAE authority requirements will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of structural design codes and international standards.
• Good understanding of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Experience in structural drawings, calculations, design review, and authority submissions.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.
