Structural Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and motivated Structural Engineer to join our team as an independent contractor. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in structural design to support a variety of residential design projects such as House Extensions, Loft Conversions, Internal Alterations, Garage Conversions and Outbuildings.

All projects are located within Essex.

Responsibilities

• The engineer will be responsible for providing all structural engineering input required for these projects.
• Load-bearing evaluations and beam/RSJ specification
• Structural calculations
• Structural drawings/details where required
• Any other structural design input needed for Building Regulations approval
• Providing expert guidance on construction practices, ensuring designs are practical, sustainable, and compliant with local codes and regulations.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Skills

• Experience in residential engineering
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations
• Good communication skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly with clients, contractors, and team members.

Pay: £4,000.00-£9,600.00 per month
