Structural Engineer

RSS is seeking an experienced Structural Designer to join an established construction team. You’ll be responsible for structural modelling, drafting, and construction documentation, working closely with engineers and project stakeholders to deliver accurate and buildable structural designs.

Position Summary

The successful candidate will have strong experience in structural design and Revit, with a solid understanding of reinforced concrete and structural steel systems.

You’ll be responsible for developing structural models and documentation while ensuring designs are accurate, practical, and suitable for construction.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop accurate structural models using Revit
• Prepare structural drafting and construction documentation
• Produce clear and buildable engineering drawings
• Work with reinforced concrete and structural steel systems
• Coordinate structural designs with engineers, architects, and other disciplines
• Review drawings and models for accuracy and consistency
• Identify design, coordination, and constructability issues
• Support project teams throughout the design and documentation process
• Manage revisions and ensure documentation meets project requirements

We’re Looking For Someone Who Has:

• Minimum 5 years of structural design experience
• Minimum 5 years of Revit experience
• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete and structural steel systems
• Experience in structural modelling and drafting
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and construction methodologies
• Ability to produce accurate, practical, and buildable documentation
• Strong attention to detail and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with project teams

It Would Be Great If You Also Have:

• Experience with temporary works and formwork design
• Experience working on precast concrete projects
• Experience with Australian or international construction projects
• Experience with BIM coordination and multidisciplinary projects

Software Experience

• Revit – structural modelling and documentation
• AutoCAD – structural drafting and drawing review
• Navisworks – BIM coordination and clash detection
• Microsoft Office Suite

Experience with similar software will also be considered.
