Structural Engineer

Resposibilities:

• Employ cost competitive engineering techniques to develop the most cost-effective total project solution
• Review vendor equipment documentation for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
• Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting
• Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
• Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines

Requirements:

• Advanced knowledge of discipline codes for US and European regions, commercial availability, and cost of materials
• Advanced knowledge of performing hand and computer calculations for foundations, concrete, and steel structures
• Analyzing complex structures
• Wind and seismic loading in structural calculations
• Computer modeling and analysis
• Procurement and construction aspects of engineering
• Vendor drawing review, intergroup review squad checking
• Checking design calculations and Drawings
• Connections designs and fabricator drawing checking
• Practical field experience and Intermediate computer and software skills
• Knowledge of working in Prefeed, FEED & Detail Engineering projects
• Managing and leading a small team/ Area lead on a bigger project
• Knowledge of Dynamic analysis and design (structural) will be an added advantage
