Structural Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct structural investigations and site assessments of residential and commercial buildings to determine their suitability for solar panel installations.
• Evaluate existing roof framing systems, including concrete decks and steel structures, to determine their load-bearing capacity.
• Calculate and assess the impact of additional solar panel loads, including dead loads and applicable live loads.
• Prepare structural investigation and load evaluation reports in accordance with the National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP).
• Complete structural assessment reports within 3–5 business days after site inspection.
• Identify structural deficiencies and potential safety risks that may affect the installation of solar panels.
• Recommend appropriate retrofitting, reinforcement, or other corrective measures before installation proceeds.
• Perform structural analysis using appropriate engineering methods and software, including STAAD.Pro.
• Coordinate with the Sales and relevant project teams to communicate structural findings, technical requirements, and installation limitations.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, calculations, site assessment records, and structural recommendations.
• Help prevent structural misdiagnosis, unnecessary site rework, and safety risks through thorough assessments and sound engineering judgment

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must hold a valid Civil Engineer license issued by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Philippines.
• Working knowledge of the National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP), particularly structural design and loading standards.
• Basic knowledge of structural analysis software, specifically STAAD.Pro.
• Ability to evaluate building structures and assess their capacity to accommodate additional solar panel loads.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in structural calculations, site assessments, and technical reporting.
• Good judgment and awareness of structural safety risks.
• Ability to prepare clear, accurate, and well-organized engineering reports.
• Strong coordination and communication skills when working with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage assigned assessments and meet report submission deadlines.
