Job Title: Structural Revit Technician / Structural Detailer

About the company:

Our client is a growing multidisciplinary construction consultancy based in Kent. They deliver structural engineering, MEP, building fabric surveying, civils and design coordination across a wide range of building projects.

The role:

This is a new, dedicated structural Revit position created to support a growing workload. At present, much of the CAD and detailing is done by the structural engineers and the Structural Lead; you will take this on so the engineers can focus on design.

Key responsibilities:

• Produce structural Revit models and general arrangement drawings from engineers' design information and mark-ups
• Detail structural connections, haunches, base plates and associated steel assemblies
• Prepare accurate, coordinated construction drawings and details to deadline
• Take over CAD and detailing tasks currently handled by the structural engineers
• Work with MEP, civils and design coordination colleagues to keep models coordinated
• Contribute to team meetings, including the Monday morning structural meeting
• Maintain drawing standards, revisions and document control on your projects

Experience and skills

Essential

• Around three years' experience as a Structural Revit Technician, Detailer or similar, ideally following further or postgraduate study
• Strong, demonstrable Revit capability for structural modelling and detailing
• Hands-on experience detailing steel connections, haunches and base details
• Able to turn structural requirements into accurate drawings and models with limited initial training
• A portfolio showing your own work and clear evidence of your contribution
