Structural Engineer (Eurocode experience)

At gbc engineers, we’re expanding our Engineering Department in Ho Chi Minh City and we’re looking for Structural Engineers to join our international team of experts from Germany and Vietnam.

gbc engineers is an international structural and civil engineering consultancy headquartered in Germany, with a strong and expanding presence in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. We specialize in structural design, BIM modeling, and project management for industrial, commercial, and residential developments across Europe.

Position: Structural Engineer

Location: HCMC

Department: Engineering

Employment Type: Full-time

Main Tasks

• Perform structural analysis and design of buildings in line with international standards.
• Develop structural FEM models using professional software.
• Provide structural design services from conceptual to construction stage.
• Prepare structural analysis reports, and technical documentation in English, German, or Vietnamese.
• Collaborate with BIM, CAD, and project teams to deliver high-quality structural design models and drawings.
• Participate in meetings, support day-to-day project execution, and ensure design accuracy.
• (For Senior level) Review and validate design work of junior engineers and ensure compliance with internal quality standards as well as provide training to junior level engineers.

Main Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Solid understanding of structural design principles and statics.
• Experience and deep understanding of structural design (RC and Steel Structures)
• Familiarity with Eurocodes.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills.
• Good English communication skills.
• Curious, proactive can-do attitude, and eager to grow in an international working environment.
