• Experience with review qualifications and mechanical engineering.
• Lead experience on modifications is preferred but not required.
• Previous commercial nuclear experience is the key.

Job Description
Design for civil and structural projects at power plants for today's leading energy providers.
Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of concrete, steel structures, heavy load components and other equipment supports.
• Conceptual studies, cost and planning studies.
• Design calculations.
• Specification development.
• Seismic analysis.
• Develop 3-D analytical models utilizing FEA analysis techniques and response spectra seismic analysis.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years experience.
• Mathcad or Matlab.
• Finite Element Analysis software (no specific software required).
• We are seeking candidates for Sr. Engineer level who have held a previous design verification qualification/certification with commercial nuclear projects under 10CFR50 Appendix B QA programs.
• MathCAD Prime as well as GTSTRUDL experience is a must for Senior level engineers.
• Ideally, candidates will be able to perform piping analysis per ASME B31.1 as well as structural analysis.
• Need a candidate who is ready to jump into preparing and reviewing documents for:

o Pipe supports
o Building structure modifications
o Rigging load evaluations

• Steel design per AISC Allowable Stress Design (ASD) approach (older code years commonly used in commercial nuclear).

Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour

Work Location: Remote
