Structural Engineer - Las Vegas

Our client is a respected and growing structural engineering consulting firm seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its Las Vegas office. The team provides structural engineering services across a diverse portfolio of projects, including hospitality, commercial, retail, multifamily, mixed-use, high-end residential, tenant improvement, and building renovation developments throughout the Southwest.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR) on a variety of structural engineering projects ranging from renovations to complex new construction developments.
• Manage projects from proposal through completion, including scope development, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Lead structural design efforts utilizing steel, concrete, masonry, wood, cold-formed steel, and other construction materials.
• Perform structural analysis, calculations, and design using industry-standard software such as RISA, RAM, ETABS, SAFE, and similar platforms.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Support business development initiatives and assist in identifying new project opportunities.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff through coaching and project leadership.
• Conduct site visits, field observations, and condition assessments throughout Las Vegas and surrounding markets.
• Prepare technical reports, engineering studies, and construction documentation.
• Drive technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across project delivery practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Nevada PE preferred.
• Structural Engineer (SE) license considered highly desirable.
• 10+ years of structural engineering consulting experience.
• Strong background in the design and analysis of building structures.
• Experience managing projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and project stakeholders.
• Proven leadership skills and experience mentoring engineering teams.
