Structural Engineer – Site Engineer / Qatar

Location: Doha, Qatar

Employment: Full-time, site and office-based

Monthly Salary: QAR 8,000–10,000 , depending on proven site experience and technical capability. Maximum salary: QAR 10,000.

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified Structural Engineer with valid Grade engineering registration in Qatar and strong, hands-on site experience to join our team.

The successful candidate will supervise construction activities, ensure structural works are executed correctly, coordinate with consultants and subcontractors, and resolve technical issues. This position requires practical construction and site-management experience; a design-only background is not sufficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Site supervision: Oversee structural and civil works, including excavation, foundations, reinforcement, formwork, concrete casting, waterproofing coordination, and associated construction activities.
• Inspections and quality control: Check reinforcement, formwork, dimensions, levels, and completed works against approved drawings and specifications. Identify defects and follow up on corrective actions.
• Technical review and coordination: Review structural drawings, shop drawings, reinforcement details, material submissions, and method statements. Coordinate with architectural and MEP teams to identify and resolve clashes before execution.
• Problem-solving and project follow-up: Raise technical queries, coordinate approved solutions, monitor contractors and subcontractors, and follow up on manpower, materials, sequencing, and progress. Ensure structural modifications receive the necessary approval before implementation.
• Reporting and handover: Prepare site reports, inspection records, progress photographs, and outstanding-work lists. Escalate safety concerns and support snagging, as-built documentation, and project handover.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with valid Grade A engineering registration in Qatar .
• Strong, demonstrable site experience in structural execution and supervision. Experience with villas, residential buildings, and commercial projects in Qatar is preferred.
• Excellent understanding of reinforced-concrete construction, structural detailing, inspection procedures, and coordination between construction disciplines.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel , with working knowledge of structural analysis software such as ETABS and SAFE .
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple site priorities, communicate professionally, and follow tasks through to completion. Strong English is required; Arabic and a valid Qatar driving licence are advantages.
