Structural Ironworker

This is an experienced construction field position. Only applicants with structural steel erection/connecting/welding experience will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Field installation/connecting of columns, beams, stairs, and decking
• Fitting and Welding (Field) of structural steel
• Rigging of steel
• Experience with crane servicing and associated signaling
• 3 years of structural steel experience in the field
• Ability to independently interpret drawings and specifications
• Experience with Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings preferred

Physical Requirements:

Be prepared to work in various outdoor conditions, including wet, cold, heat, rapidly changing environments near moving mechanical parts, and at heights. Ability to consistently lift up to 50lbs.

Qualifications:

• Certified Welder with experience in commercial steel
• Valid NYS Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Must be able to follow written and verbal directions
• AWS certification desired in SMAW
• OSHA 10
