Structural Engineer, PE - Project Manager Level - Fort Worth, TX

Established Fort Worth engineering firm is hiring a licensed Structural PE at the 8-10 year mark to take a lead role on a growing structural team.

This is a bridge-the-gap seat with a clear runway. The team's senior engineer brings 20+ years; the next engineer earned licensure last year. We need the person in between: someone who can run their own projects, mentor younger engineers, and grow into the senior seat over time. If you're at a firm where the layer above you isn't moving, this is the opposite situation.

What you'll do:

Lead structural design for steel and concrete building projects across a broad range: commercial, light industrial, historic preservation and renovation, with some residential in the mix

Manage projects end to end: scope, client contact, design, drawings, construction phase

Mentor junior engineers on a team of six that was founded in 2020 and is still building its bench

Work across a genuinely varied project load rather than a single repeating building type

What we're looking for:

Licensed Texas PE (or ability to obtain by comity quickly), non-negotiable

Roughly 8-10 years of structural design experience, steel and concrete buildings

Broad project range: commercial and industrial required, historic preservation or renovation experience a real plus

Ability to run projects and clients with light oversight, and appetite to lead

Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Full-time, direct hire, Fort Worth.
