Structural Steel Erector

Deem Structural Services, LLC is currently seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions:

• Journeyman Ironworkers*
• Foremen & Superintendents*

* For the above positions, you MUST have experience in Structural Steel Erection. These positions are not for Industrial shutdowns, pipefitting, fabrication, or PEMB erection.

Deem Structural Services is an AISC Certified Steel Erector with a project focus on new construction and expansion of hospitals, commercial buildings, standard office and medical office buildings, and schools. While most of our projects are currently operating in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana, we are seeking qualified candidates for the Houston, Dallas, and Fort Worth areas.

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable in layout, rigging, connecting, bolting and welding steel by following prints and instructions while guaranteeing all quality and safety standards are met.
• Drill holes into steel.
• Bolt or weld pieces in place.
• Tighten cables.
• Read and follow blueprints, sketches and other instructions.
• Operate Forklift (10K-12K), Boom Lift (40-185’), Scissor Lift (19-35’).
• Radio and Hand signals.
• Identify safety risks and the precautions/procedures to eliminate those risks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Must be able to work at heights and in various temperatures
• Must be able to lift 70lbs and withstand the physical demands of erecting steel
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
