Structural Steel Estimator

Clint’s Welding is looking to add an experienced Structural Steel Estimator to our team.

We are a structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection contractor handling a wide variety of commercial construction projects. We’re looking for someone who can accurately review drawings and specifications, perform material and labor takeoffs, solicit vendor pricing, and put together competitive bids from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform detailed takeoffs for structural and miscellaneous steel
• Estimate material, fabrication, erection, equipment, and subcontracted costs
• Obtain and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors
• Prepare complete and competitive project estimates
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and potential project risks
• Review addenda and incorporate changes into estimates
• Communicate with general contractors, vendors, and internal team members
• Assist with bid follow-up, scope reviews, and project handoff after award
• Maintain organized estimating records and bid information

What We're Looking For

• Experience in structural steel, miscellaneous metals, commercial construction, or a related estimating role
• Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required
• Comfortable working on multiple bids and deadlines at the same time
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with Tekla PowerFab, BlueBeam, Procore and AutoDesk is a plus
• Knowledge of steel fabrication and erection processes is strongly preferred

Compensation: $50k-70k + Bonus Opportunity based on Experience

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
