Structural Supervisor Civil

About the role

Ramstown Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Structural Site Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural construction and earthworks, with sound technical knowledge of formwork and concrete operations. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a proactive individual who can coordinate site activities, lead construction crews and subcontractors, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities across structural construction and earthworks operations.
• Lead, manage and motivate site personnel, subcontractors and construction crews to achieve project milestones.
• Oversee formwork, steel reinforcement, concrete placement, pours and associated structural works.
• Coordinate earthworks activities, including excavation, ground preparation, filling and compaction.
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications and work packs to ensure works are completed in accordance with project requirements.
• Monitor construction progress, productivity, resources and programme deadlines.
• Maintain high standards of quality control, workmanship and site presentation.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, site procedures and environmental standards.
• Identify and resolve site issues, coordinating with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders as required.
• Conduct toolbox talks, pre-starts and site inspections, ensuring hazards and risks are effectively managed.

About you

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a site supervision role within structural construction or civil construction.
• Proven experience in structural works and earthworks.
• Sound technical knowledge of formwork systems, reinforcement and concrete placement and finishing.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and sequencing of works.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to manage crews, subcontractors and competing site priorities.
• Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach to site management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current construction safety induction card (White Card).
• Current driver's licence.
