Structural Welding Lead Hand

Job Summary

RJV Gas Field Services is seeking an experienced Structural Welding Lead Hand to join our fabrication team in Vegreville, AB.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for leading a crew of welders while actively participating in the fabrication of structural steel skids, platforms, stair systems, equipment supports, and modular packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of welders and apprentices
• Perform structural welding, fitting, and fabrication work
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols
• Coordinate daily work activities to meet production schedules
• Verify weld quality, fit-up accuracy, and workmanship
• Troubleshoot fabrication issues and provide technical guidance
• Promote a safe, productive, and team-oriented work environment
• Work closely with Production, QC, and Project Management teams

Qualifications

• Journeyman Welder certification preferred
• Minimum 5 years of structural steel fabrication experience
• Strong knowledge of structural drawings and welding procedures
• Experience leading crews in a fabrication environment
• Ability to maintain quality standards while meeting production schedules
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Pay: $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
