STRUCTURED CABLER

About the role

The Structured Cabler is responsible for the installation, termination, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of structured cabling systems for network, telecommunications, CCTV, and other IT infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Install UTP, STP, fiber optic, and other structured cabling systems
• Perform cable pulling, routing, dressing, labeling, and termination
• Install patch panels, data outlets, racks, cable trays, conduits, and related accessories
• Terminate cables using appropriate connectors, keystone jacks, patch panels, and fiber optic equipment
• Conduct cable testing and certification using appropriate testing tools
• Troubleshoot cable connectivity, signal, and installation issues
• Follow approved drawings, cable schedules, and project specifications
• Assist in the installation of network devices, CCTV systems, and other auxiliary IT infrastructure
• Maintain proper cable management and ensure neat and professional installations
• Coordinate with the Project Coordinator, Technical Lead, Engineers, and other project personnel

About you

• High school graduate, vocational graduate, or graduate of an IT/electrical-related course
• Experience in structured cabling, network installation, or IT infrastructure is an advantage
• Knowledge of UTP, fiber optic, LAN, and basic networking concepts
• Familiarity with cable testers, crimping tools, punch-down tools, and other installation equipment
• Willing to work on-site, travel to project locations, and work overtime when required
• Capable of working at heights or in construction/project environments
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Willing to learn and follow company and project standards
