Structured Cabling, CCTV & Security Technician

Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Structured Cabling / Low-Voltage Technician to join our team in Dayton, OH. The ideal candidate will have hands-on field experience installing and troubleshooting low-voltage infrastructure in accordance with BICSI and industry standards.

Whether working on new commercial builds, retrofits, or large-scale warehouse environments, our technicians ensure projects are completed safely, cleanly, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, route, and pull Category 6/6A, fiber optic, coax, and low-voltage cabling through ceiling spaces, conduits, ladder racks, and J-hooks.
• Build out telecommunications closets, including wall-mounted racks, server cabinets, and cable management systems.
• Terminate, test, and label data jacks, patch panels, and faceplates.
• Mount and install physical infrastructure for IP video surveillance (CCTV), access control systems, and related data hardware.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to test and troubleshoot cable runs and system connectivity.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 1+ years of experience in structured cabling, low-voltage, or physical infrastructure installation (3+ years preferred).
• Preferred: AXIS Certification, BISCI Certification, IPConfigure Certification
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift 10–30 lbs unassisted; comfortably climb and work from ladders, lifts, and elevated pathways; work in tight or non-climate-controlled spaces (attics, crawl spaces, outdoor environments).
• Equipment Safety: Must meet manufacturer safety weight limits for ladders and lifts
• Tools & Skills: Proficient with standard hand and power tools, as well as low-voltage testing equipment. Strong attention to detail and clean cable management standards.
• Screening: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record, and pass a pre-employment background check.
