Structured Finance Partner

A leading international law firm is seeking a Structured Finance Partner to join its market-leading Structured Finance practice in New York.

This opportunity is well suited to existing Partners or Counsel ready to make the move into partnership who have established experience in structured finance, securitisation, asset-backed finance or related structured credit work. The team is continuing to invest strategically in senior talent and offers the opportunity to play a meaningful role in the continued growth of an already highly regarded structured finance platform.

The Partner can expect to lead and develop matters across areas including:

• asset-backed securitisations across a broad range of asset classes,
• warehouse and forward flow financing arrangements,
• CLOs and other structured credit transactions,
• receivables, consumer finance and specialty finance transactions,
• private credit and asset-backed lending structures, and
• complex cross-border structured finance and capital markets transactions.

The role offers significant scope to lead sophisticated transactions, develop and deepen client relationships, and take ownership of strategic business development , working directly with issuers, sponsors, financial institutions, asset managers and investors. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to mentor and develop junior lawyers and contribute to the broader strategic direction of the practice.

Candidates should ideally have:

• 8+ years' experience advising on structured finance, securitisation, asset-backed finance or broader structured credit transactions,
• a strong track record advising financial institutions, issuers, sponsors, asset managers and/or investors on complex structured finance matters,
• an established or developing client following and demonstrated business development capabilities,
• excellent drafting, negotiation and client management skills,
• strong commercial judgement and the ability to lead sophisticated transactions and teams, and
• experience gained at a leading US or international law firm.
