• The STS Modernization Developer is responsible for modernizing legacy applications, refactoring outdated components, and building updated, scalable, cloud ready solutions.
• The role focuses on transforming existing systems, improving performance, enhancing integrations, and aligning applications with modern architecture standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze legacy applications and design modernization paths (refactor, rebuild, re-platform).
• Develop updated components using modern languages, frameworks, and architectural patterns.
• Improve existing APIs, integrations, and data flows to meet current standards.
• Enhance system performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and modernization teams to deliver end-to-end upgrades.
• Participate in testing, documentation, release management, and cutover planning.

Required Skills:

• Experience in application modernization or legacy system transformation.
• Strong hands-on development skills (Java / .NET / Node / Python).
• Understanding of modern architectures: microservices, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, cloud-ready design.
• Ability to work with legacy systems (old frameworks, monoliths, on prem infra, old API layers).
• Good debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud migration (AWS / Azure / GCP).
• Knowledge of containerization, orchestration, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Familiarity with modernization tools (code scanners, migration analyzers).
• Experience with service rewriting, re-platforming, or decoupling monoliths.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $34.67/hour - $54.18/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
