Our commitment to Safeguarding

AUB is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding. We take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety and welfare of children, young people, and adults at risk who engage with us, as well as those who work with them.

About the role

Arts University Bournemouth is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and student-focused individual to join our Student Services team as a Student Adviser.

As a Student Adviser, you will play a vital role in shaping the student experience at AUB. As one of the first points of contact for Student Services, you will provide a warm, welcoming, and professional service, helping students access the support, information, and guidance they need to thrive during their time at university.

This varied and rewarding role offers the opportunity to support students across a wide range of areas, including financial support and bursaries, travel and transport, health and wellbeing, and other aspects of student life. You will also contribute to the administration of the University's Access and Participation Plan, helping to ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential.

We are seeking an organised and proactive individual who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of people. Equally comfortable working independently and as part of a team, you will enjoy a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

The breadth of this role requires someone who can think on their feet, manage competing priorities, and remain calm and professional during busy periods. A friendly, approachable manner, combined with the ability to work efficiently and accurately, will be key to your success. In return, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to students' lives and contribute to an exceptional student experience at Arts University Bournemouth.

Our benefits

In meeting your performance expectations, you’ll receive an annual salary increase in line with the grade of your role. An annual cost of living uplift will be applied, the timing and implementation of which are subject to the University’s decision. AUB provides generous holiday entitlement, and you will be enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme (professional services staff) or the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (academic staff) from day one of employment. Along with subsidised bus travel, cycle to work and annual savings schemes, our broad range of benefits can be explored on the AUB careers website

AUB has an agile working policy, and flexible working can be considered. If you require support with your application or have any questions about the role or recruitment process, please email [email protected] . If you are disabled, we are committed to supporting you with any reasonable adjustments you require, so please email [email protected] and we’ll be in touch.

Visa Sponsorship

This position does not meet the UKVI salary requirements for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must therefore demonstrate their right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
