Student Application - UNPAID POSITION

At Lawrence County Memorial Hospital (LCMH), we offer more than a learning experience, we offer a chance to make a meaningful difference in a community where your care truly matters. We believe hands‑on experience is one of the best ways to discover whether a career in health care is right for you, and we are proud to support the future of medicine by investing in students and emerging professionals.

Through job shadowing, internships, and clinical rotations, high school, college, and post‑graduate students have the opportunity to work alongside our dedicated providers and staff. With small patient‑to‑caregiver ratios and the unique pace of rural health care, students gain personalized, real‑world experience while learning about the wide variety of careers available in a community‑based hospital.

At LCMH, you’ll find the time, space, and support to care deeply by building strong relationships with patients, mentors, and the community. Whether you’re exploring health care for the first time or completing required clinical experiences, LCMH offers an environment where learning is meaningful, relationships matter, and your work makes a lasting impact.
