Student Assistant, Library

Description

For this position, the student must qualify for federal work-study.

This position will assist with library operations, archives and mail services and patron services associated with the Service desk.

Examples of Duties

• Patron services associated with the Service desk.
• Assisting with library operations, archives and mail services.
• Sanitizing and cleaning patron used areas
• Work at the information desk, greeting and assisting patrons with locating materials, checking items in and out, and providing basic library information
• Double check in materials and re-magnetize.
• Cart materials in LC Call number order
• Shifting books for stacks maintenance
• Inventory
• Assist in processing UBorrow and ILLiad using ALMA.
• Assist in Archives and Digital Repository
• Assist with displays and events
• Assist with sanitizing
• Mail services
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Federal work-study eligible, good academic standing, customer service oriented, reliable, ability to push/pull 25lbs
