Student Consultant

Who are we?

Altaïr Strategy is a student-led consultancy founded at Bocconi University. We advise startups and early-stage businesses on three things: entering new markets, finding the right customers, and building a strategy that works on a small budget. Every project is for a real client who uses our recommendations.

What is the opportunity?

You will join a small team on an 8-week project for a live client. You will take part in the work itself: researching markets, analysing competitors, building recommendations and presenting them to the client. You will have direct contact with founders, which is rare this early in a career, and you will see how a consulting engagement runs from kickoff to final deliverable.

What would you do?

• Research markets, customers and competitors for early-stage companies
• Help shape market entry, marketing and strategy recommendations
• Turn open-ended questions into testable hypotheses and clear conclusions
• Join client calls and present part of the final deliverable
• Check in regularly with the team and build on their feedback

What do you get out of it?

• A first-hand view of how a consulting project works, with real client exposure
• Regular, specific feedback on your thinking and communication
• A letter of recommendation once you complete the project successfully
• A path to Project Manager at Altaïr Strategy if you perform well

Who are we looking for?

• Current students at a leading university or business school in Europe
• Confident English, written and spoken
• Experience is welcome but not required: case competitions, societies, internships or your own ventures all count

This is a voluntary learning project. It is not an internship, it is unpaid and it does not come with an employment contract. It is built around your studies, with a workload that stays manageable alongside your academic commitments.
