Student Counsellor

Role & responsibilities

• Regular interaction and communication with students.
• Understand and address students' academic and general concerns.
• Maintain regular follow-ups with students regarding fee payments and pending dues.
• Monitor and follow up on student attendance.
• Contact students regarding low attendance and encourage regular attendance.
• Communicate with parents when required regarding attendance, fees and student-related matters.
• Maintain student records and update follow-up details.
• Coordinate with academic, administration and accounts teams for student-related issues.
• Assist students with university-related queries and guide them to the appropriate department.
• Conduct regular student follow-ups and ensure timely resolution of concerns.
• Maintain professional relationships with students and parents.
• Prepare regular reports related to student attendance, fee follow-ups and student interactions.
• Support student engagement and retention activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
• 25 years of experience in student counselling, student support, education, administration or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and student-handling skills.
• Confident in communicating with students and parents.
• Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
• Ability to maintain records and prepare basic reports.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office / Excel.
• Patient, approachable and responsible towards student concerns.
• Ability to work effectively with academic and administrative teams.
• Candidates who can join immediately or within a short notice period will be preferred.
