Student Intern (OJT)

Job Summary

The Drafting and Engineering Student Intern will assist the Engineering and Drafting team in preparing technical drawings, plans, documentation, and other engineering-related tasks. The intern will gain practical experience in drafting, design, document preparation, and project coordination while working under the supervision of experienced engineers and draftsmen.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and revising technical drawings, plans, layouts, and engineering documents.
• Support the Engineering team in drafting and design-related activities using AutoCAD or other relevant drafting software.
• Assist in converting sketches, measurements, and engineering concepts into detailed drawings.
• Help maintain and organize engineering drawings, plans, specifications, and project files.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, measurements, and field verification when required.
• Assist engineers and draftsmen in preparing project reports, material take-offs, and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers and other project personnel regarding revisions and drawing requirements.
• Update drawings based on approved revisions and instructions from the supervising engineer or draftsman.
• Perform basic research and data gathering related to engineering and construction projects.
• Maintain confidentiality and proper handling of company and project documents.
• Perform other engineering, drafting, and administrative tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Civil Engineering or Drafting Technology, or a related program.
• Required to complete an internship/OJT as part of the academic curriculum.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or other drafting/design software is preferred.
• Familiarity with technical drawings, engineering plans, and construction documents is an advantage.
• Willing to learn and receive training from experienced professionals.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to follow instructions and work effectively with a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, punctual, and willing to work in an office and/or project-site environment.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Iloilo City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Professional driver's license (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 100% (Required)
