Student Support Specialist

About The Role Join the Goodwill team as a Student Support Specialist, where you?ll play a pivotal role in empowering individuals with barriers to employment. By providing case management, vocational services, and community support, you?ll help participants achieve their career and educational goals.

Qualifications Education: Bachelor?s degree in Human Services, Education, Sociology, or a related field (required).

Experience: Preferred one year of experience in case management or vocational services for individuals with employment barriers.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in standard computer programs, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and internet use.

Clearances: Must pass all required background checks, including Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania Criminal History Check, and DHS-FBI Fingerprint.

Other Requirements: Valid driver?s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation. An operating telephone is required for timely communication.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct participant orientations, outreach, recruitment, and intake services.

Develop and implement service plans tailored to participant goals.

Coordinate services with other staff and community resources.

Provide career planning, case management, and workforce readiness training.

Assist participants in addressing barriers such as childcare and transportation.

Facilitate group and individual mentoring sessions.

Track participant progress and document outcomes.
