What they need
Join Birmingham’s Most Fun Arts Experience!
Splash Art Republic Birmingham is looking for creative and people-focused Studio Assistants to deliver our fantastic sessions!
As The West Midlands' first action-art studio we bring a totally new activity to the UK's leisure sector. Think splatter painting, spin art, pour art, and paint-fuelled joy for all ages and abilities. This isn’t a quiet gallery, it’s a colourful, energetic, and inclusive experience for anyone who’s ever wanted to unleash their inner artist.
We are now looking to add to our team of genuine, lovely and super-creative staff-folk. If you're a talented artist, super-confident, reliable and fantastic with people, we'd love to hear from you.
About Splash Art Republic
We’re a small, family-run creative business that launched in Nottingham in December 2024 and quickly made a splash! Following our success, we expanded to Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter in 2025, and to Sheffield in 2026.
Our immersive art studio invites people of all backgrounds and abilities to enjoy hands-on creativity in a fun, relaxed environment.
How To Apply
For us to consider your application, you must submit a COVERING LETTER and CV with a link to your portfolio or examples of your visual art, telling us a bit about yourself and why you’d be a great fit for us. Do remember, we‘d rather have a few of your own words, than a reams from ChatGPT! We can tell, so please talk to us about your unique and fantastic self as that's what we're interested in!

Person Specification
Ideally educated to A Level, you must be a creative person with a background in visual art (particularly acrylic, oil and watercolour painting) with a fun, accessible and encouraging approach to leading art activities with people of all ages and backgrounds. The most important element of this role is your ability to communicate well. Our site is fast-paced, busy and can be beautifully chaotic so you will need a big personality to organise and facilitate our activities. This post will involve working directly with customers to provide an outstanding experience for all our budding artists, so customer experience must be important to you. The role would suit someone with previous hospitality experience, facilitation or group work experience and it is essential that you are outgoing, lively and confidently speak publicly in front of groups of varying size as these will include families, friends, corporates, children's birthday parties, baby showers and hen/stag do's etc. We expect all of our staff to be pro-active, bubbly, positive and reliable team members who are respectful of diversity and are pleasant and likeable to work with. Although one element of the job is creative and public facing, we want to make it clear that it also involves a huge amount of resource management including washing up and preparing paint, brushes and tools and general cleaning of our facilities. This is a very active but super-fun and rewarding role.
