Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and creative Studio Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team at Painting with a Twist South Side. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine your passion for the arts, leadership skills, and marketing expertise. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting studio operations, teaching events, marketing/sales, and enhancing the overall customer experience.

This position include either base salary for full time employees or hourly for part time plus commission, tips, and event bonuses. Full time employee will get the added benefit of a profit-sharing bonus at the end of the year based on the studio's gross revenue.

Responsibilities

• Studio Operations: Manage schedules, coordinate appointments, and assist with daily operations. Maintain studio cleanliness and organization to create a welcoming atmosphere. Support inventory management, including tracking supplies and assisting with orders.
• Customer Engagement: Provide exceptional service to Pop In and Paint customers and event participants, helping with art projects as needed.
• Event Instruction: Leading groups of 2-55 participants through Painting with a Twist-branded artworks while ensuring an engaging and fun experience.
• Marketing Assistance: Collaborate with the Studio Manager to execute marketing strategies, including creating content using Canva for a variety of social networks and assisting with local outreach.
• Team Collaboration: Assist in interviewing potential candidates and training new staff. Lead small team projects and contribute to creating new events and products to drive growth.
• Cash Handling: Process cash transactions accurately and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Product Creation: Working with Studio Manager to create unique event. This could include creating the artwork, creating murder mysteries, or finding what is trending and tying it in to an event. Sourcing different surfaces that may be fun for people to paint on. Designing projects that are appealing to a range of customers.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong leadership and organizational abilities to manage schedules, inventory, and staff effectively.
• Proficient in a range of artistic talents (Acrylic painting is a requirement).
• Basic familiarity with Canva for marketing purposes.
• Understanding of social media and being comfortable appearing in ad content for Painting with a Twist.
• Experience with retail inventory management and cash-handling procedures.
• Previous experience in a managerial or similar role preferred.
• Excellent multitasking skills and attention to detail.

Hours: Part-time

• Approximately 10 hours as an assistant manager and up to another 3-6 hours instructing.

Required Availability: We are specifically looking for individuals that have help on Weekends and Nights. Although there may be weekday hours from time to time.

Compensation:

• Starting at 15/hour
