What they need

A people-focused leadership role centered on studio growth, member experience, and community connection.

Are you a driven, wellness-focused leader who enjoys connecting with people, developing a team, and turning goals into measurable results?

Pure Sweat + Float Studio Leawood is looking for a hands-on Studio Manager to help open, lead, and grow our new studio. This is an opportunity to shape our team, member experience, and presence in the Leawood community while growing your own leadership career.

ABOUT PURE SWEAT

Pure Sweat + Float Studio is a community-focused retreat for health, healing, and connection within. Our Leawood studio will offer full-spectrum infrared sauna, cold plunge, and float therapy in a warm, welcoming space.

Our values are Discovery, Growth, Leadership, and Purpose. We are building a team that takes pride in doing things well, cares for one another, and genuinely enjoys helping people feel their best.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Two or more years of leadership, sales, or management experience in a client-facing business.
  • Demonstrated success generating leads, converting prospects, meeting sales goals, or growing memberships or recurring client relationships.
  • Experience leading a small team or coordinating schedules and daily operations.
  • A natural ability to connect with people and confidently guide membership and sales conversations.
  • Strong organization, initiative, judgment, and follow-through.
  • Availability to work the position’s required mix of shifts and community events.
  • Reliable transportation for outreach throughout the Kansas City area.
  • Experience in wellness, fitness, hospitality, retail, membership, or spa services is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with booking, CRM, scheduling, point-of-sale, or reporting systems is a plus.

YOUR ROLE

As Studio Manager, you will work closely with the studio owner to turn shared goals into clear plans, a supported team, strong studio systems, and an exceptional member experience.

A central part of your role will be driving studio growth through lead generation, timely follow-up, membership conversion, community outreach, and leadership of the team’s sales efforts.

The owner will remain actively involved, focusing on strategy, partnerships, culture, and overall direction. We are looking for a manager who takes initiative, brings forward ideas and solutions, and follows through reliably.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead membership conversations and consistently follow up with prospective clients to convert interest into visits and long-term memberships.
  • Understand each client’s wellness goals and confidently recommend relevant services, memberships, and retail products.
  • Coach the team in lead follow-up, consultative sales, member retention, and thoughtful product recommendations.
  • Plan and execute networking, pop-ups, partnerships, events, and grassroots outreach that generate qualified leads.
  • Build genuine relationships with local businesses, fitness studios, wellness providers, and community organizations.
  • Track leads, appointments, conversions, memberships, retention, retail sales, and total studio revenue—and use the results to establish priorities.
  • Oversee scheduling, shift coverage, service standards, cleanliness, equipment readiness, and day-to-day issue resolution.
  • Help hire, train, coach, and develop a dependable and engaged studio team.
  • Maintain Pure Sweat systems and brand standards while keeping the owner informed about progress, challenges, and recommended next steps.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Membership conversion, recurring membership growth, retention, retail sales, and total studio revenue meet agreed-upon goals.
  • Community outreach generates qualified leads, appointments, and new members—not simply awareness or activity.
  • Members receive warm, knowledgeable, and personalized care.
  • The team understands its goals, feels supported, and consistently delivers the Pure Sweat experience.
  • Studio priorities, systems, schedules, and daily operations are handled reliably and followed through.

SCHEDULE

This is a full-time, in-person position with flexibility to create your own weekly schedule based on studio needs, team coverage, peak member times, and community events.

As Studio Manager, you will build the team schedule and determine when your presence will have the greatest impact. Your schedule may include a combination of daytime, morning, evening, or weekend hours, but you will have meaningful input and ownership over your hours.

COMPENSATION, BENEFITS, AND GROWTH

  • Starting compensation: $25–$26 per hour, based on experience, plus commissions tied to membership sales and performance-based bonus opportunities tied to studio revenue. The complete incentive structure will be explained during the interview process.
  • Health insurance: Eligible full-time employees may enroll in the studio’s group health insurance plan. Employees are responsible for the cost of their selected coverage.
  • Wellness benefits: Unlimited complimentary studio services and discounts on retail products.
  • Performance review: The Studio Manager will receive a formal performance review after approximately 90 days, evaluating training progress and demonstrated ownership of sales, operations, team leadership, systems, and studio standards.
  • Growth opportunity: Opportunities for increased responsibility and potential advancement into a salaried General Manager position may become available based on performance, role readiness, studio performance, and business needs.

If you are excited to support people, lead a team, grow community, and help build a studio centered on wellness and connection, we would love to meet you!

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
