For our media studios at the Berlin campus, we are looking for an engaged and technically experienced person to support student media projects and contribute to teaching in both theory and practice.
Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Studio Manager to oversee the technical equipment and studio infrastructure at our Berlin campus.
The role combines technical and organisational responsibilities with practical support for students and teaching staff. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in media production and studio technology, enjoys working with students, and is able to communicate technical concepts in a clear and practical way.
Key Responsibilities
– Manage and maintain the equipment rental service and media studios, including photo, film, podcast and print facilities.
– Coordinate equipment, studio resources and student staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
– Support students and teaching staff with technical expertise across photography, video, film and audio.
– Plan and deliver practical technical workshops and studio introductions.
– Develop and digitalise rental processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of our technical infrastructure.
– Provide technical support for university events and projects.
Your Profile
– Practical experience with camera, video, lighting and audio technology, as well as basic knowledge of editing and post-production.
– Strong enthusiasm for media production and studio technology and an interest in current technical developments.
– Enjoy working with students and communicating technical concepts in a clear and practical way.
– Independent, reliable and structured working style with a strong sense of responsibility when handling technical equipment.
– Strong organisational and teamwork skills and a service-oriented approach.
– Very good English skills (C1 level).
– A university degree or comparable qualification is an advantage, but not required with relevant practical experience.
What We Offer
– A responsible and varied role with significant scope for shaping processes.
– A motivated and creative team in an innovative environment.
– Flexible working hours and the possibility to work partially remotely.
– Extensive opportunities for further training and individual career development.
– The opportunity to contribute your expertise and creativity to a forward-looking educational environment.
