What they need
Studio Operations Manager
Abbysan Yoga & Wellness Center · Phuket
Abbysan is a clinical movement and wellness studio in Phuket, established in 2007. We help clients from around the world with pain, movement and long-term health through one-to-one sessions and small group classes.
We are looking for a Studio Operations Manager to run the studio day-to-day, keep our systems working smoothly, and grow with us into a Growth & Marketing role.
Is this role right for you?
Abbysan is a small team of 2 to 5 people. You will work closely with the owners every day, and your work will make a real difference to how the studio runs.
This role is a good fit if you:
- Enjoy working in a calm, quiet environment
- Stay busy on your own, even when the studio is quiet. You look for things to improve, organise or follow up, without waiting to be asked
- Like learning new skills, including skills outside your usual job
- Adapt easily when plans or priorities change
- Take ownership of your work and follow through
- Communicate openly and ask questions when something is unclear
- Like being part of a small team where everyone helps
This role may not suit you if you:
- Prefer a busy, fast-moving workplace with lots of people around
- Need a manager to give you every task
- Get bored easily when there is no fixed task in front of you
- Prefer to do one job only
We will train you on our systems and processes. In return, we are looking for someone who wants to learn, grows into the role, and treats the studio as their own.
What you will do
Run the schedule
- Manage the group class schedule and private appointments in our booking system
- Handle bookings, changes and cancellations, and keep every calendar accurate
Keep classes full
- Track class attendance and contact clients to fill open spaces
- Follow up with clients who have paused or not rebooked
Own the client experience
- Reply to enquiries and explain our programs clearly
- Guide new clients through our onboarding process, from first enquiry to first session
- Follow up after enquiries and sessions so no client is forgotten
Manage payments and records
- Collect payments for programs and sessions
- Record income and expenses, prepare invoices and receipts, and handle withholding tax documents
- Send the daily income report
Support marketing
- Schedule and post ready-made stories and reels
- Keep our Google Business profile and online information up to date
Run studio operations
- Make sure rooms are ready for every session
- Supervise housekeeping and cleanliness
- Arrange repairs and maintenance when needed
- Buy supplies and keep track of day-to-day running costs
Report and improve
- Send a short weekly report on bookings, class attendance and enquiries
- Suggest and make improvements to how the studio runs
Your growth path
Stage 1: Studio Operations Manager. Learn and run daily operations, bookings, payments and client communication.
Stage 2: Growth & Marketing Manager. Once operations run smoothly, take on growth: filling classes, converting enquiries into clients, planning campaigns with the founder, and helping bring in new clients.
We will train you at each stage, and your salary grows as your responsibilities grow.
Requirements
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Minimum 2 years of experience in operations, administration, hospitality, customer service or sales
- Confident in communicating with foreigners
- Strong written and spoken English
- Willing to learn structured systems
- Responsible and service-minded
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Decision-making ability without constant supervision
- Comfortable using computers and online tools
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (preferably in business)
Valid driving license (car or motorcycle)
Excellent computer literacy
Basic sales, hospitality, or marketing experience
Social media familiarity
Salary and probation
Salary: 22,000 – 28,000 THB per month, growing with your role:
- 22,000 THB starting salary
- 25,000 THB after passing probation
- Up to 28,000 THB as you take on growth and marketing responsibilities
Probation: 3 months. This may be extended by 1 month if more training time is needed. After probation, we will review your performance and adjust your responsibilities and salary based on the tasks you are able to take on.
Work structure
- Flexible working hours (the studio operates from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.)
- 1.5 days off per week
- 7 days of annual leave after 1 year
- Songkran holiday (5–7 days depending on schedule)
- 7 days of holiday at the end of the year
