Role Description The Styling and Image Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based at Papillon Styles in Redondo Beach, CA. This role involves providing personalized styling and image consulting services to clients, including assessing their needs, selecting outfits that flatter their figure, and guiding them on how to build a cohesive wardrobe. The consultant will conduct in-store styling appointments, support at-home consultations and trunk shows, and assist clients shopping both in person and online. Daily responsibilities include maintaining product knowledge, coordinating looks for various occasions, offering honest and constructive style advice, and supporting the boutique’s visual merchandising and customer service standards. The role requires close collaboration with the boutique team to ensure an inclusive, welcoming, and confidence-building experience for every client.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Image Consulting and Style Consulting skills to assess client needs and create flattering, cohesive looks.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication and Consulting skills to build trust, explain styling choices, and deliver high-quality client service.
• Candidates should possess Training skills to educate clients on fit, styling techniques, and wardrobe building, and to support internal knowledge sharing.
• Relevant experience in fashion retail, personal styling, or wardrobe consulting is highly beneficial.
• Strong customer service orientation, attention to detail, and the ability to work on-site in Redondo Beach, CA are required.
• Comfort working with diverse body types and style preferences, with a commitment to inclusivity and non-discriminatory practices, is expected.
• Basic proficiency with digital tools (e.g., email, online scheduling, virtual consultations) is an advantage.
