What they need

The role

Based in our new Melrose Avenue store, this role will bring Miista’s identity to life in Los Angeles through exceptional styling, thoughtful relationship-building, and locally relevant community marketing.

You will oversee the store’s showroom and styling activity, develop relationships with LA’s creative community, and manage appointments for stylists, editors, talent and VIPs. Combining hands-on coordination with a strong understanding of culture and brand storytelling, you will help establish the store as a destination for discovery, connection and creative exchange.

Working closely with the Marketing Director and the press, events and community teams, you will translate the wider marketing plan into local activity. Every appointment, partnership, event and communication should feel distinctly Miista and reflect the brand’s tone of voice.

Role & Responsibilities

Showroom & Styling Coordination

  • Own the day-to-day running of the LA showroom within the Melrose Avenue store, including sample organisation, product send-outs, returns, visual presentation and seasonal product rotations.
  • Coordinate showroom and styling appointments, managing outreach, scheduling, product selection, on-site support and follow-up.
  • Deliver thoughtful, personalised styling experiences for editors, stylists, talent and VIPs, supported by in-depth product knowledge and compelling collection storytelling.
  • Ensure styling, product presentation and the overall appointment experience consistently express Miista’s identity.
  • Work closely with the store team to integrate showroom activity into daily operations and maintain a welcoming, well-organised environment.
  • Maintain accurate sample and loan records, coordinating with product and logistics teams on domestic and international movements.

Community Marketing & Development

  • Develop and nurture an engaged LA community around Miista, using the Melrose Avenue store as a place to build lasting relationships.
  • Identify and connect with local creatives, artists, cultural voices, collaborators and brand advocates whose perspectives resonate with Miista.
  • Develop local community marketing initiatives that support the wider marketing plan while responding to LA’s cultural landscape.
  • Propose relevant partnerships, gatherings and collaborations that build brand awareness, encourage store visits and deepen community engagement.
  • Maintain a true Miista tone of voice across local outreach, invitations, appointment communications and community-facing content.
  • Build sustained relationships through thoughtful follow-up, ongoing conversation and relevant opportunities to engage with the brand.
  • Share community feedback, cultural insights and emerging opportunities with the global team to inform future activity.

Talent & VIP Appointments

  • Lead the planning and coordination of talent and VIP appointments at the Melrose Avenue store, with support and strategic oversight from the Global PR & Community team.
  • Manage communications with talent and their representatives, from initial outreach and scheduling through to product curation and post-appointment follow-up.
  • Create a welcoming brand experience that introduces Miista’s vision, values and seasonal collections while strengthening relationships.
  • Coordinate the capture of high-quality photography and video during appointments, in line with brand standards, agreed permissions and marketing priorities.
  • Gather and share appointment feedback, styling preferences and potential partnership opportunities to inform future PR, community and talent activity.

Press & VIP Relations

  • Develop and deliver a US VIP dressing programme, with a strong LA focus, aligned with seasonal brand objectives and the wider marketing plan.
  • Identify relevant opportunities for product seeding, celebrity dressing, editorial placements and creative collaborations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with celebrity stylists, editors, talent managers, publicists and other relevant industry contacts.
  • Curate product selections and manage pulls for US editorial features, talent dressing and content creation.
  • Work with marketing, creative and merchandising colleagues to communicate seasonal product stories through considered placements.
  • Manage relationships beyond individual placements, building long-term affinity with Miista.

Events & Local Activations

  • Partner with the Marketing Director and the press, events and community teams to develop and deliver a calendar of LA store events and activations.
  • Align local activity with product launches, brand campaigns and relevant cultural moments.
  • Coordinate local execution, including event logistics, store readiness, partners, guest communications and on-the-day delivery.
  • Curate guest lists that bring together relevant talent, local creatives, community members, industry contacts and VIPs.
  • Ensure invitations, event experiences and follow-up communications reflect Miista’s identity and tone of voice.
  • Capture feedback and outcomes to strengthen future events and maintain relationships beyond each activation.

Marketing Alignment & Collaboration

  • Work in close partnership with the Marketing Director and the press, events and community teams to implement the marketing plan consistently in LA.
  • Maintain a shared calendar of showroom appointments, community initiatives, seeding activity and events, giving all relevant teams clear visibility of plans and priorities.
  • Participate in regular planning and review meetings to align messaging, timing, product focus and execution.
  • Translate global campaign priorities into locally relevant activity, contributing LA insights and ideas to the wider team.
  • Coordinate with store, creative, merchandising, product and logistics colleagues to ensure activity is well prepared and delivered.
  • Communicate progress, opportunities and operational needs promptly to keep teams aligned.

Content, Monitoring & Reporting

  • Use Miista’s social channels and relevant platforms to research talent, discover community voices, monitor coverage and support relationship building.
  • Identify and coordinate local content opportunities that support campaigns and reflect Miista’s visual identity and tone of voice.
  • Track product placements from initial send-out through to publication, appearance or social coverage.
  • Produce regular reports on showroom appointments, press and VIP coverage, community development and event outcomes.
  • Assess activity against agreed objectives, highlighting relationship growth, quality of engagement, relevant coverage and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate contact databases, sample records, activity calendars and coverage reports.

Our Position: The Opposite Thing

Designed in London — Made in Spain — EU Sourced and Produced

Miista upends the exclusionary practices of the fashion industry to show how we’re actually living now. Over the last ten years we are proud to have built a brand that through craft, our community, the risks we’ve taken and a sometimesbizarre willingness to laugh at ourselves, has made an elegant commitment to the alternative. A dedication to the opposite thing.

What does that mean? That we’re happy to sacrifice profit and to subvert problematic fashion trends for women to create a product that has personality in addition to aesthetic value. A product that knows women don’t really shop using the search words ‘pretty’ now. If we were your friend, Miista would be the odd one at school who grew up and got an attitude and a sense of confidence. You know when it’s a Miista.
