Duties

• Provide expert haircuts, trims, and grooming services for men and women using precision techniques including traditional barbering and modern styling.
• Perform hair coloring, highlighting, balayage, and other color treatments based on client preferences and color theory principles.
• Deliver specialized services such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading to enhance client satisfaction.
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, sterilizing equipment, and adhering to health regulations to ensure client safety.
• Use salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, process retail sales, and upsell products or services effectively.
• Assist at the front desk with client communication, check-in/check-out procedures, and retail product recommendations to maximize store management efficiency.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, coloring, and retail sales strategies while fostering a positive team environment.

Experience

• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong background in cosmetology or barbering.
• Skilled in various hair care techniques including cutting, coloring, styling, and the use of tools like straight razors.
• Familiarity with salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for scheduling and client management.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices aligned with health standards for salons and barbershops.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging clients effectively and understanding their desired looks.
• Ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining a focus on customer service excellence.
• Experience mentoring or training new staff members is a plus to help foster team growth.
