sUAS/Drone Technician

Overview

A2Z Drone Delivery is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Drone Technician. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is a plus, but not a requirement. This role involves supporting the assembly, testing, maintenance, and field deployment of our advanced commercial drone systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams across different locations, including domestic and international travel to support testing, customer deployments, and technical training. Responsibilities

• Assemble, inspect, test, and maintain commercial drones and autonomous drone docking systems to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
• Support the deployment of drone systems in various operational environments, including field testing and customer sites.
• Collaborate closely with A2Z’s engineering and manufacturing teams in China to troubleshoot technical issues and improve system reliability.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed to assist with testing procedures, customer deployments, and technical training sessions.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and repairs on drone hardware components to ensure longevity and operational efficiency.
• Document technical procedures, test results, and maintenance activities accurately for internal records and customer reports.

Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English is a plus, but not a requirement.
• Prior hands-on experience with assembling, testing, or maintaining drones or similar autonomous systems is highly preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot hardware issues effectively.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as part of job responsibilities.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical training when necessary.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
