Description & Requirements

As the Subcontract Officer you will be responsible for managing the commercial and administrative aspects of subcontractors on a project and to ensure subcontractors are engaged correctly and meet contractual obligations. This is a Brisbane based permanent position.

This role offers exposure to all stages of the project lifecycle, opportunities to collaborate with a range of stakeholders including our corporate contracts team, and the chance to develop valuable skills within a dynamic project environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and coordinating scope of work documentation for quotation processes
• Working with corporate contracts team to establish subcontracts
• Administer subcontractor agreements, including progress claims, variations, compliance, and performance monitoring in line with project requirements
• Coordinate and manage subcontract documentation, including RFIs, TQs, site instructions, purchase orders, and contractual correspondence
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, contract requirements, and relevant legislation
• Support site-based teams as required, including interface between onsite delivery and offsite commercial functions

What you’ll bring:

• Contract administration training or qualifications are highly regarded; alternatively, demonstrated experience with contract management, ideally with 2-3+ years in a similar role.
• Experience in sourcing quotes form subcontractors and establishing agreements
• Previous experience in a Subcontract Admin role, ideally within the resources, mining, energy, or construction sectors.
• Experience with claims and invoicing will be essential.
• Advanced proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage across all levels of the organisation. Strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.
