Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal across multiple facility types.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures for mixing, application, storage, and disposal in accordance with safety protocols.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing to maintain a professional appearance.
• Execute sanitation procedures in restrooms, kitchens, and high-touch areas to promote health and hygiene standards.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention.
• Follow strict safety practices during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within commercial or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers and industrial vacuums.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely by adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual handling, and general workplace safety.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients or building occupants.
• Prior experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is highly desirable.
• Physical capability to perform demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts.
