Subledger Accountant

Who you are

• Completed commercial training, accounting qualification, or a comparable background
• Initial professional experience in Accounts Payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting
• Practical experience in processing and posting invoices
• Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Structured, accurate, and detail-oriented way of working
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Good communication skills in German and English

What the job involves

• To support our Finance team, we are looking for a motivated Accounts Payable Accountant / Subledger Accountant to join us on a fixed-term basis as parental leave cover
• In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate processing of supplier invoices and travel expenses while supporting the smooth operation of our accounting processes
• Review, code, and post supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Manage and process invoices through the digital workflow system
• Maintain and reconcile vendor accounts
• Review and process employee travel expense claims
• Support payment runs and monitor open items
• Clarify invoice discrepancies together with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with internal policies and procedures
