Job Over View

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Sublimation Heat Press Operator to join our decoration shop. In this hands-on role, you will prepare products, operate heat press equipment, and produce high-quality decorated items while meeting daily production goals.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with a team, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can stay organized in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sublimation heat press equipment using approved temperature, time, and pressure settings.
• Prepare products and position sublimation transfers accurately before pressing.
• Inspect finished items for proper placement, color consistency, and defects such as ghosting or incomplete transfers.
• Follow work orders to ensure the correct products, designs, and quantities are completed.
• Track production quantities, inventory usage, waste, and rework.
• Unpack, count, and prepare supplies for the decoration shop.
• Organize completed products for the next production stage or order fulfillment.
• Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic upkeep, and report equipment problems promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures when working around equipment operating at approximately 400°F or higher.
• Work closely with other team members to meet production deadlines and assist throughout the department as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Basic math and counting skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to learn equipment settings and production procedures.
• Good teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Dependable attendance and the ability to maintain a steady work pace.
• Previous sublimation, heat press, printing, or manufacturing experience preferred.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Work is performed in an active production and decoration shop where temperatures can be hot, particularly around operating heat presses.
• Must be comfortable working in a hot environment and following heat-related safety procedures, including staying hydrated and taking designated breaks.
• Work safely around heat press equipment operating at approximately 400°F or higher.
• Ability to perform tasks involving prolonged standing, repetitive movements, and handling materials, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to lift, unpack, and move production supplies.
