Subsidiaries Financial Controller (Renewable Energy Sector)

On behalf of a leading publicly traded renewable energy company, we are seeking an experienced Subsidiaries Financial Controller to oversee comprehensive accounting operations, lead period-end closings through consolidated financial statements, and professionally guide an Assistant Controller.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Business Development, Engineering, Economics, and Bookkeeping.

Reporting to: Corporate Financial Controller

Location: Sharon Area (Hybrid: 1 day/week WFH)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and financial reporting processes in accordance with IFRS, including complex consolidations.
• Provide professional management and oversight to the Assistant Controller and supervise bookkeeping operations.
• Manage intercompany accounts, tax planning/compliance, budget monitoring, and contractual/investment control.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and banking institutions.

Requirements:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – Mandatory .
• 2–5 years of experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller within a commercial company – Mandatory .
• Proven background from a publicly traded company or the energy, infrastructure, or project-based sectors – Significant advantage .
• High proficiency in advanced Excel and ERP systems (hands-on experience with NetSuite – Significant advantage ).
