Substance Use Navigator

Abbeville General Hospital is hiring for a Substance Use Navigator:

Position(s) Avaliable:

• Substance Use Navigator (Full time; 7:30a – 4:00p) – One (1) available

Substance Use Navigator position summary:

• Provides direct patient care within scope of training and experience, under the supervision of a professional nurse
• Facilitates the bridge to care from the ED/hospital to outpatient setting for substance use patients

Substance Use Navigator required experience:

• One (1) year in health care setting preferred

Substance Use Navigator educational requirements:

• Nursing / Medical student or MHT with clinical experience
• EKG course or certification
• Required Certifications: BLS, MOAB

Substance Use Navigator physical requirements:

• Medium work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor constitutes a maximum lift of 21-50 pounds on occasion and/or a maximum lift of 11-25 pounds on a frequent basis.
• May be required to assist in the turning, lifting, or moving of patients as well as walking about from patients' rooms, as well as to and from various hospital areas
