Job Title: Substation Design Engineer

Location: Remote

Pay Rate: 81.00 USD per hour

Shift: First Shift, Monday to Friday, 08 am to 05 pm

Contract Duration: 12 months

Job Description:

Experienced Substation Design Engineer and Experienced in substation design, and electrical engineering including high-voltage 138kV and 230kV collector substation, Gen-Tie, and switchyard design.

Experienced in General arrangement, Physical layout, and section view of 2 new transformers, circuit breakers, switches, capacitor banks and surge arrestors and

Grounding and conduit for the new components.

Responsibilities:

• Checked and verified all wiring, leveling, all electrical components with correct part number, Bill of Material and point to point check for continuity.
• Completed the Rack Megger check, and Edison Megger check before delivery to the client and connect with appropriate voltage and Power to make sure that all components are running properly and showing proper reading as it supposes.
• Replaced One 66-12KV Transformer, One Automatic Transfer Switch, Wiring, Conduit and Grounding and Replaced Six 12KV Circuit Breaker s, (14) 12KV Switches, Conduit and Grounding and Replaced ROTO Switches, update wiring, Grounding and Conduit.
• Coordinated with Engineer of record (EOR) and subject matter expert (SME) to implement design based on scope of work provided by utility/owner or contractor and coordinated and communicated with PV, SCADA, and BESS engineers to implement design as needed basis.
• Communicate with utility/owner through RFI (request for information) to conform scope of work and move forward towards next milestone of design package 30%-60%-90% and IFC (issue for construction).

Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
